Both prosecutors and defense lawyers have some training opportunities coming up here at the School of Government. Since this blog is intended to be of interest to both sides (as well as judges, law enforcement, and others), I thought I’d plug all of the training opportunities.
A program for (relatively) new prosecutors will run from April 14 through April 17. It’s co-sponsored by the School and the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys. For more information, ask your elected, or contact Jessica O’Sullivan at sullivan@sog.unc.edu.
On the defense side, a program for new felony defenders will run Feb. 26 and 27, while a program for attorneys defending parents in termination of parental rights cases will run Mar. 19 and 20. Information about both of these courses is available here: https://www.sog.unc.edu/resources/microsites/indigent-defense-education/calendar-live-events.
