Last month, the NC Judicial College offered our first criminal legal update via Zoom. Many of you tuned in and said you liked it. So we followed up two weeks later with another. Some of you have said we should make this a thing. We’re not ready to say this is forever just yet, but we like the way things are going. So please join us again this Friday for our third Zoom update in the time of COVID-19. And we will commit right now to offering another criminal legal update on Friday, May 8. Here are the details for joining us this week:
Jamie Markham, Jonathan Holbrook, and Christopher Tyner will host Legal Updates from the Judicial College this Friday, April 24, 2020, from 1 – 2 p.m. The trio will discuss recent criminal law decisions by state and federal appellate courts.
We are able to accommodate 500 people, and availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Participants will be muted but may send in questions using the chat feature.
We are not offering continuing legal education for tuning into the live version of the update. We plan to post a recording of the meeting on our Indigent Defense Education site that you may later purchase for CLE credit.
For security reasons, we will not publicly post the zoom meeting link or meeting ID. Many of you will receive an email announcement with the information. If you do not receive such an email and need the login information for Friday, please complete this short form and we will email instructions to you.
Also, please save the date for our next criminal legal update on Friday May 8, 2020 at 1 p.m.
If you have any logistical questions you may contact our Program Associate, Olivia Howes via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to speaking with you on Friday!
