I am constantly amazed at the innovative work my colleagues are doing. A new and incredibly useful tool — but one that is not widely known — is Jessie Smith’s criminal case compendium, available here. It organizes important criminal cases by category, so you can look at the section on indictments if you have an indictment issue, or at the section on post-conviction DNA testing if you have a question about that. For each case, the citation and the case’s holding are provided. Cases going back to November 2008 are included, and Jessie plans to continue adding to it as new cases come out. It seems like an insanely ambitious project, but also a fantastically helpful one. Kudos to Jessie for undertaking it.
