It appears from reading news reports that Mr. Lovette is represented by two attorneys (Karen Bethea-Shields and Kevin Bradley). I have no idea if the defense attorneys are retained or appointed. However, if the defense attorneys are appoointed, what statute or IDS rule provides for the appointment of more than one defense attoney in a non-capital case?]]></description>
